I don’t know about you, but I am cruising into 2022 with no huge changes on my mind. I haven’t sat down and thought about making a word list or a vision board or anything. I feel like I barely survived Christmas and here comes the New Year asking me what I’m gonna do. Also, I don’t feel bad about it. I honestly think I’m happy to be surviving the craziness of misinformation, false information, and attempts to block/curb access to public information as it relates to Coronia de la Virrus (that is what it will be referred to here). So let’s talk about what we can do to pull up into 2022 with a little more planning and peace.
1. Journaling.

Because of the solitude many have faced in relation to Coronia de la Virrus, mental health has been one of the most talked about issues facing many people world wide. One thing that can help with expression of emotions is writing. Writing (or drawing) in a notebook can be just like a paper best friend of sorts. Most people that have found a safe place use dot grid notebooks because of their versatility and portability.
2. Exercise, Just a Little.

I know, I know… Trust me, I’m in the same boat. The couch, the recliner, the floor… All of these places have been so very welcoming, comfy, and non-judgemental this year. However, my waistband has been VERY judgemental and I do NOT like its tone. One thing I’ve told myself is that I will become more intentionally active but I’m not waiting until next year. I’ve already eliminated much of the sugary drinks I’ve grown accustomed to, and now I have to incorporate a few more things to my repertoire to help push this activity toward the sky. I’ve been looking at home kits for exercise just to have a few things on hand as well for low intensity strength training.
3. Grab a hobby.

Sometimes, there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. Other days, there’s a massive lull in life’s rigor and we find ourselves thinking that sleeping the day away is the answer. Well guess what, IT’S NOT! Learn a new craft like crocheting, diamond painting, needlework, calligraphy or photography. Believe it or not, Amazon is seriously the source for everything in life from A to Z in a more literal sense than you might think.
4. Think on these things.

A great mind is a terrible thing to waste. We truly have to do more to keep ourselves sharp. The innudation of short duration video social media applications is causing so much instant gratification and an over indulgence of dopamine in the minds of children and adults alike. There aren’t many requirements to enjoy these productions, but there should be limitations. How about trying a puzzle that could make you a few dollars? Have you seen the One Million Dollar Puzzle? I’m thinking of giving it a try to see if I can do it. If you’ve tried one, comment below and let me know.
5. Create, create, create!

Whether you cook, draw, mold or paint… Let those creative juices FLOW for pete’s sake! Pinning that energy up inside will do nothing but cause you frustration and make your life a lot less fun. Everyone has a little creative being inside. We all have gifts. They may not all be the same gifts, but the difference in them is what makes us unique in our own way. You don’t have to try to make a whole stream of income from it, but it’s important that you cultivate those little inklings you have to do something creative. Write a haiku, sing a song (my shower concerts are unmatched), sketch a bowl of fruit, or plant a seed out back and see what happens.
Whatever you do in 2022, make sure you’re doing it safely. There are quite a few “things” outside that are taking people off the planet a lot sooner than they expected to leave. Do what you feel is best for you and those you love. In the mean time, remember to show a bit of compassion to others who are doing the same. Whether they choose to wear a mask, or catch a jab, or do nothing at all, it’s their choice. The freedoms we’ve all raved about for many years are being tested and used to divide us. Don’t be party to the foolishness. Spread love, not germs.
Take care my loves!
